This game is played with a standard deck of 52 cards, without Joker. The layout of the deck has 3 parts including the Tableau, the Stockpile and the Foundation.

world of solitaire game

  • Tableau: There are 7 columns with 28 cards on the tableau. The first column contains one face-up card. In the next columns, the number of cards increases in column order. All first cards of the columns are exposed and the following cards are hidden. When you take your first card, the following card will automatically open until the column has no cards left.
  • Stockpile: The stockpile holds 24 cards which are face-down. You can draw one card from the stockpile at one time. If it is not used, it will be put into a waste pile. If the stockpile is empty, you can move all cards in the waste pile to the stockpile. Then, you can flip the card again. Note that you can go through the stockpile as many times as you like.
  • Foundation: You can see four empty spaces on the top right of the deck. They are 4 foundations. Each foundation represents a different suit. They should be filled with cards which are stacked in ascending sequence, starting with the Aces to the Kings.

How to play

Is the World of solitaire easy to play? Which strategy helps you always win fast with high scores? The below article will help you answer these questions.

Here, we will show you how to play this online game in detail.

At the start of the game, if you see any cards which have different colours on the tableau, arrange them in descending order and in alternating colours. For example, you can place a Seven of Heart on an Eight of Spade. If there is a vacancy on the tableau, you can fill it with a King or a stack of cards starting with a King. If there are no more playable cards on the tableau, you can flip a card in the stockpile. Whenever you get stuck, click the Hint button on the bottom of the screen to get suggestions about possible moves. If you regret your move, click the Undo button to reverse your last move. Do your best to move all cards on the tableau to four foundations. Each foundation must be organised in ascending sequence and in a suit.

Besides, the game has no time limit. It only ends when there is no possible move left or you can complete all four foundation piles. Therefore, you can spend hours or even a day contemplating your next move.

You can score 5 points after a card is moved to one of the foundations successfully. Try your best to get the highest possible score to raise your name on the leaderboard. If you win the game in the shortest time, you will get a high rank on this leaderboard. This is considered as an encouraging reward to give you more motivation to play better and better.

What are the differences between the Standard and Las Vegas modes?

This game features two modes including the Standard and Las Vegas mode. In the Standard mode, you will gain 5 points after transferring a card from the tableau to the foundation. In the Las Vegas mode, you will score 10 points when a card is moved to the foundation. Furthermore, the Standard mode has 6 levels from Easy to Grandmaster while the Las Vegas mode offers only 5 levels from Medium to Grandmaster. Therefore, it is possible to say that the Las Vegas mode is more difficult than the Standard mode. If you are on verge of discovering this game, I recommend you choose the Standard mode to play. If you are a master of the solitaire game, challenge yourself with the Las Vegas mode.

Strategies to win World Of Solitaire:

  • Learn the playing rule of this game carefully: You must read carefully the rule before playing. Understanding how to move the cards will help increase your winning chance.
  • Build your own strategy before playing. At the start of the game, you should analyze the deck carefully. Planning your move in advance helps you avoid getting stuck during the game and win it more easily.
  • Transfer Aces to the four foundations as early as possible If an opportunity arises, move the Aces to four foundations immediately.
  • Don't make any column on the tableau empty if you don't have a King available If you clear a column unintentionally, you will get stuck during the game.
  • Try to expose all face-down cards on the tableau: if you can face up all cards on the tableau, the game is won.
  • Consider the colour of the King before placing it on the empty slotIf you have two cards including a red King and a black King, you need to see the colour of the Queen that is available on the tableau. If you have a red Queen, place a black King. Reversely, if you have a black Queen, a red King is the best choice.
  • Use the Undo button wisely. If you get stuck, don't be afraid to change your strategy. You can use the Undo button to reverse your last moves before applying your new plan.
